WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Second Chance Animal Services will host a low-cost vaccine clinic for cats and dogs in West Springfield on Friday.

The clinic will offer free distemper vaccines, $10 rabies vaccines, and $5 microchipping from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 99 Westfield Street in West Springfield, the site of the former Walgreens.

"This clinic is so important because it gives pet owners the opportunity to protect their pets from preventable and potentially deadly diseases," said Sheryl Blancato, CEO and founder of Second Chance.

Preventable illnesses like distemper, parvovirus, and panleukopenia continue to pose a serious threat to pets without access to routine veterinary care. This clinic offers an affordable way to help keep them protected.
