KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Three players with the Kansas City Royals have been selected as finalists for the prestigious Gold Glove Awards for their performances during the 2025 Major League Baseball season.
Rawlings Sporting Goods Inc. announced on Wednesday morning that shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., third baseman Maikel Garcia and center fielder Kyle Isbel have been selected as the finalists for the American League (AL).
This is the second time Witt Jr. has been named a finalist for the award, having won a Gold Glove title in 2024.
If he were to win, Witt Jr. would be the first two-time Gold Glove winner at shortstop in Royals history. It would also make him the first AL shortstop to win the award in back-to-back seasons since Andrelton Simmons with the Angels in 2017 and 2018.
