The Big 12 Conference has given Texas Tech a public reprimand and a fine and has issued Kansas a fine for events during and after the Texas Tech football game against KU on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The fines are $25,000 for each school.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Oct. 15, the conference office said, "Tech's fine is for repeated instances of objects being thrown onto the playing surface, while Kansas has been fined for disparaging comments about the conference and a member institution, and an inaccurate statement regarding a pocketknife by head coach Lance Leipold."

It did not elaborate on Leipold's comment.
