Black beans are high in fiber and protein , a combination that helps keep you feeling fuller for longer. In one study, participants who regularly consumed legumes, like black beans, experienced less weight gain, a lower body mass index (BMI), and a leaner waist.
What's more, people who did not routinely eat beans experienced a 23.5% greater weight gain over the 10 years compared to those who consumed them.
