The league announced a new Debut Patch program for the next season. Every rookie will wear a special patch on their jersey during their first NBA game. After the fame, the patch will be removed and turned into a one-of-a-kind trading card with the player’s autograph. The idea originated from Major League Baseball, where patches gained popularity among collectors.
