Nicki Minaj has a lot on her mind, and customarily, isn’t holding any of it back.

The rapper hopped on X/Twitter today, October 15th, to cancel her highly anticipated new album, which was expected in March 2026, while teasing her retirement from music and appearing to blame JAY-Z .

“Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music,” Minaj tweeted . “Hope you’re happy now,” tagging JAY-Z before ending the message with, “Bye, Barbz. Love you for life.”

Nicki’s fans, aka the Barbz, have been waiting for a follow-up to the rapper’s last full-length, Pink Friday 2 , which was released in 2023.
