A 34-year-old man has died more than one week after he was revived by firefighters during an East Mountain fire, police said.
The morning of Oct. 4, the Hamilton Fire Department responded to a fire at 987 Mohawk Road East. They found "heavy black smoke and flame" coming from the top floor of a three-storey building.
A man with no vital signs was rescued from the building and revived by firefighters.
"Tragically, on October 13th, 2025, the male succumbed to his injuries and passed away in hospital," Hamilton police said in a news release on Wednesday.
