Parts of Niagara, Halton, Peel and Chatham-Kent are at risk for frost Thursday morning, so Environment Canada is warning growers to protect frost-sensitive plants.
The federal agency said Wednesday that frost may form Thursday morning as temperatures fall near the freezing mark in parts of Ontario.
It identified municipalities including Burlington, Oakville, Niagara Falls, Welland, Wainfleet, Port Colborne and Fort Erie as being susceptible.
Frost can damage some fruit trees and vegetable plants. Growers can protect plants in various ways, including by covering them up.
