In June, scores of Californians took part in anti-Trump protests dubbed “No Kings Day,” where attention on the U.S. Army’s 250 th anniversary celebration competed with demonstrations across the United States.

Now, a repeat is expected for the nation and in California on Saturday, Oct. 18.

The No Kings protests scheduled for Saturday are the latest in a series of demonstrations that have played out on the national scale since President Donald Trump took office. September, for example, kicked off with “Workers Over Billionaires” protests in California and across the nation.

Over 5 million people nationwide participated in No Kings Day protests in June, according to a No Kings mobilization kickoff call in September. For Saturday, dozens of events are scheduled across over 200 cities
