PITTSBURGH (WTAJ) -- Steelers safety DeShon Elliott did not practice Wednesday and will not travel with the team to Cincinnati. He is listed as questionable with a non-injury/personal matter by the team.

Elliott has been a spark plug for the Steelers defense since coming off an early season injury, and has drawn a lot of praise and credit for the defense's turnaround from coach Mike Tomlin.

If Elliott doesn't play, it's likely the team leans on Jabril Peppers, who was initially signed while Elliott was out early in the season. Pittsburgh will likely use more Jalen Ramsey at safety with Brandin Echols in the slot.
