BOSTON (WWLP) - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is re-bidding its service plaza contract following a dispute between the initial contract winner, Applegreen.

Highway administrator Jonathan Gullivan said that MassDOT will take over day-to-day management of the 18 service plazas throughout the state. He said they will begin extension talks with current service plaza operators immediately to minimize disruptions.
