KENTWOOD, MI — Fans of Hello Kitty, the Japanese cartoon that launched in 1974 and grew into a global phenomenon, can shop for collectibles of their favorite fictional character during an event Saturday at Woodland Mall.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will be parked near The Cheesecake Factory at the mall from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The truck sells everything from t-shirts and sweatshirts to plush toys, ceramic mugs, thermal bottles, keychains, pins and more.

According to an announcement, the Hello Kitty Café Truck only accepts credit and debit cards. The truck debuted in 2014 and has since visited more than 100 cities across the country, the announcement says.
