Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt admits England was not good enough against Pakistan at the World Cup, with only a rain downpour preventing her side recording their first defeat of the tournament.

Sciver-Brunt was not about to make any excuses after Pakistan, cruising at 34 without loss off 6.4 overs on Wednesday, was halted by bad weather in Colombo while seemingly easing towards a readjusted victory target of 113.

England made 9-133 after rain shortened the contest to 31 overs per team.
