CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on Wednesday morning held a press conference to discuss the latest crime stats for the city.
On Wednesday, Oct. 15, Charlotte police said violent crime was down across the city. Officials said the number of robberies, homicides, and aggravated assaults is less than what we saw last year.

However, there is one area that concerns Charlotte officers, is teenagers becoming repeat offenders and getting arrested for serious crimes.
The latest data revealed at the press conference showed a 20% drop in violent crime through September of this year.
