Medicare enrollment for 2026 opens on Wednesday and runs through Dec. 7.

The Oklahoma Insurance Department says more than one million Oklahomans are currently enrolled.

The Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) provides free help from trained counselors.

In addition to assisting beneficiaries and caregivers one-on-one by phone, MAP says it helps review coverage options and match plans based on medications, doctors and preferred pharmacies.

“Even if your current plan worked well this year, changes for 2026 could impact what you pay,” said Ray Walker, director of the Medicare Assistance Program. “Our goal is to make sure seniors and their caregivers understand their options and choose the plan that meets their needs.”
