The Boys Presents: Diabolical has been quietly cancelled by Prime Video. The animated anthology series released eight episodes in 2022, which were met with critical acclaim and a 97% critical score on Rotten Tomatoes. Each installment is a standalone story featuring a different animation style.

Not all of Diabolical 's episodes are considered canon and part of The Boys universe's timeline . An exception is the spinoff's finale, which explores Homelander's early days with the Seven and his relationship with Black Noir.
