HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Ace Center is closing out Hispanic Heritage Month with a salsa making competition at Marshall’s Memorial Student Center.
Chef Izzy Cross from Huntington’s Kitchen was the host of the event, and this was the first time it had been held.
Anyone could participate, and participants would get a chip, dip it in the salsa, then vote on their favorite.
Organizers tell us it was a hit.
The MU Help Program also hosted a booth dedicated to National White Cane Awareness Day.
Students could visit their booth and participate in a “truly blind taste test” with the Help Program’s own salsa.
They also had different glasses to show students what it’s like to have different eye issues and white canes to show them how they are used.
