A longtime Londoner who blended rock and orchestra through Jeans ’n Classics has died at 73, leaving a legacy of both music and generosity.
Peter Brennan, founder and lead guitarist of the symphonic rock project, died peacefully at home in London on Monday following an 18-month battle with cancer, his wife Sharon Brennan told The Free Press.
“I can honestly tell you he never complained once about feeling sick or anything. He just continued to be a very steady guy,” she said. “He knew everything about his nurses and their families. He knew his oncologist played the cello. He was just so interested in everybody else.”
Born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, and raised in Campbellford, east of Peterborough, Brennan moved to London to study music at Western University.
