The structure work of a project years in the making – replacing an important part of London’s water system – is on track to be completed by summer 2026, city officials say.

In motion since 2019, the main reservoir work on the $48-million project – to replace the now-demolished reservoir constructed in the 1920s at Reservoir Hill on Commissioners Road near Byron – is nearing completion with site work to landscape the land to take place afterwards, said project manager Josh Robinson.

“By July 2026, the reservoir (structure) itself should be completed, with leak testing happening afterward,” Robinson said.
