SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Spokane Valley police arrested a seven-time convicted felon for a shooting last month.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, deputies investigated a shooting at a home on Harrington Avenue and Vista Road on September 29.
The suspect and victim got into an argument over a vehicle at which point the suspect is accused of firing a shot near the victim.
Through the investigation, law enforcement identified 42-year-old Justin Hancock as the suspect. As a convicted felon, Hanock is prohibited from owning a firearm.
SWAT located Hancock on Tuesday, October 14 and arrested him without incident.
Hancock claims the shooting was accidental but was arrested for first-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
