BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The LSU championship-winning baseball team is set to visit the White House soon.
Coach Jay Johnson said in August that the team had been invited to the White House after their eighth College World Series title win.
According to LouisianaSports.net, the visit is set for Monday. An LSU spokesperson said a formal announcement regarding the trip is expected later this week.
Players will get their championship rings on Oct. 25, the same day as the LSU vs. Texas A&M football game.
