Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, is once again criticizing the DC Council for a law she views as inadequate when it comes to public safety.
In a Wednesday news conference, Pirro lashed out at the Council for not including a provision in a law written 26 years ago that would preclude sex offenders from living in certain areas where children live and play.

In the last seven weeks since the federal surge in D.C. began, Pirro said U.S. Marshals, along with court personnel who keep tabs on convicted sex offenders, have tracked down more than 800 people now in the District's sex offender registry.
Pirro says the vast majority were compliant, but some offenders who had been convicted failed to re
