The woman who fatally stabbed a 3-year-old at Giant Eagle in North Olmsted in June 2024 was found guilty of aggravated murder and other charges on Oct. 15, according to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley.
Julian Wood's mother, Margot, 37, also sustained injuries as she attempted to save the child from Bionca Ellis, 34.
“My thoughts and prayers remain with the Wood family,” O’Malley said in a news release. “I can’t imagine the anguish they must feel after the loss of Julian.”
Ellis stole two knives from a thrift store next to the grocery store around 3 p.m. June 3, 2024, O'Malley said. She walked next door to Giant Eagle, where she spotted Julian and his mother and began following them.
