LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Cale Jacobsen worked his way into Nebraska’s starting lineup during the Huskers’ run to the Crown championship at the end of the 2024-25 season. Jacobsen will remain in the starting five for the upcoming campaign, too.

Jacobsen is among the starters for Nebraska’s exhibition versus 8th-ranked BYU on Saturday. The Ashland-Greenwood graduate has played at a high level in the preseason, according to Fred Hoiberg. The 7th-year head coach compliments the junior guard’s leadership and scoring ability. Jacobsen appeared in 24 games a year ago, including a 5-point, 6-rebound performance in the Crown final.

Joining Jacobsen in Nebraska’s starting lineup are Jamarques Lawrence, Pryce Sandfort, Berke Buyuktuncel, and Rienk Mast.
