Amid federal shutdown, NC residents will continue to receive food assistance through October

On Friday, Oct. 10, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) issued this statement regarding the status of federal food assistance programs during the ongoing federal government shutdown.

As the federal government shutdown stretches into its second week, NCDHHS is actively working with local, state and federal partners to understand and navigate the evolving impacts on essential services.
