GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- A pedestrian died Wednesday after being hit by a car in Greenville County.
Investigators with South Carolina Highway Patrol said the collision occurred around 9:55 a.m. at the 1900 block of Poinsett Highway.
According to officials, a 2026 Toyota pickup truck was attempting to enter Poinsett Highway from the private driveway while the pedestrian was attempting to cross the driveway.
Deputies said the pedestrian was taken to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, where they later died.
The Greenville County Coroner's office has not yet shared the identity of the individual who died.
