ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Street sweeping in St. Louis is meant to keep neighborhoods clean, but some residents say it has been anything but tidy when it comes to enforcement.
This week, First Alert 4 spotted a city worker issuing tickets in the Benton Park West neighborhood to drivers who did not move their cars on designated sweeping days. While some blocks saw tickets on windshields, others went untouched.
“I did notice this week all the tickets came out on top of the cars,” said Ian Drake, who lives in the Tower Grove East neighborhood. “I don’t mind. I think it’s important for anyone looking to move here or open a business to know the basics are being taken care of.”
