HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man is in the hospital after police said he was shot on Clark Street in Hartford Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Hartford Police Department, officers responded to the area of 168 Clark Street at around 5:37 p.m. for report of a person shot and found evidence of gunfire but no victim.

While the officers were at the scene, a man in his forties checked into a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He's in stable condition at this time, according to police.
