Pressure is mounting on Hamas and the fragile peace holding in the Gaza strip after the terror group returned non-hostage remains to Israel.
Hamas returned four bodies to Israel late on Tuesday, but Israeli authorities said one of them was not that of a hostage.
So far, only seven of the 28 deceased hostages have been returned as part of the US-led ceasefire plan which called for all hostages, dead or alive, to be returned by a deadline which expired on Monday.
Another two bodies were returned overnight but are yet to be formally identified.
Gaza health officials said Israeli restrictions on allowing DNA testing equipment into the war-torn enclave meant morgues had to rely on physical features or clothing for identification, the Associated Press reported.
