MIDDLEBURG — Nicole Patnaude's voice was clearly heard in the Snyder County courtroom Wednesday as she addressed the man who battered her in anger in May 2024 and is now serving a 10- to 20-year prison term.
"I will be at every parole hearing to be sure that you are not released until you are old and crippled and unable to try to take the life of the next woman who doesn't want to be with you," Patnaude said, looking directly at Ronald A. Childress who was seated nearby, shackled and dressed in an orange jumpsuit.
