ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - Parents at Ascent Classical School in Rock Hill are sharing their concerns after administrators and teachers were removed.

Many parents staged a walkout Tuesday morning in protest of the decision, among other concerns.

Ascent Classical School was established in Rock Hill last year. Parents said they loved the headmaster and other staff who were fired for what they were told were “performance issues.” Parents have spoken out with concerns about this and the school’s turnover.

There are several — or ACAs — across the U.S. The Rock Hill location opened last year, and the charter school system’s website said there are plans to open more in South Carolina.
