Some make a life easier for themselves away from home, giving the next generation a bright future. But one thing never changes: the traditions and bonds of a culture.

Every year, the United States observes Hispanic Heritage Month between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15. It's a time to highlight the stories and contributions of people with ties to Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
