YouTube experienced technical difficulties on Wednesday, Oct. 15, with hundreds of thousands of users reporting problems.
According to the outage-tracking website Downdetector, reports at around 7:59 p.m. ET were around 358,000 and rising. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Downdetector said users began reporting problems with YouTube at 7:19 p.m. ET.
YouTube confirmed the outage on X and said they were working on a fix.
"If you’re not able to play videos on YouTube right now – we’re on it!," YouTube said.
