MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Winter may be a couple of months away, but it's never too soon to enjoy a popular winter activity!

The iconic ice skating rink at Rockefeller Plaza has officially opened for the season, providing locals and visitors to enjoy a fun winter experience in the heart of Manhattan.

Grab your skates and enjoy an hour of ice skating while surrounded by the stunning architecture of Rockefeller Center.

The famous rink is open from 9 a.m. to midnight daily. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 require an adult or chaperone.

Tickets are now available for general and VIP skate sessions and “Après Skate Chalets.”

Tickets cost between $22 and $124 for a regular 60-minute session and up to $224 for VIP entry. Skate rentals are an additional $12.
