Five former Maryland School for the Deaf students are suing the school, the Archdiocese of Washington and the state of Maryland in relation to alleged sexual abuse by a Catholic priest who taught at the school in the 1960s and 70s.

The five were all students at Maryland School for the Deaf and were taught by Father William Krouse, who allegedly sexually abused them during his tenure as a teacher at the school from 1967 to 1975, according to the lawsuit filed May 30 in a Prince George's County court.
