NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A NYPD captain is using the transit system to inspire generations.
Tamecca Greene grew up like many New Yorkers, watching her father, not as an officer but as an MTA worker who, she says, showed up day after day to keep the city moving.
Greene is leading the very same transit district where her story began, in the heartbeat of the city, underground, where the roar of trains drowns out the noise of everything else.
There is a legacy running through every tunnel. The long shifts, sacrifice, and strong will, Tamecca Greene knows it well, watching her own father-- the late Willie Greene.
