14th-seeded Keyport defeated 19th-seeded St. Rose 6-2 in the first round of the Shore Conference Coaches’ Cup in Keyport.

Keyport led 4-1 at halftime before outscoring St. Rose 2-1 in the second half.

Keyport’s goals were scored by Justin Visaggio, John Covert, Colin Woodruff, Diego Rocha, Eliel Tlapa and Brayden Burkhardt. Gavin Healey recorded seven saves for Keyport.

Keyport (8-5) extended its winning streak to six games and will visit third-seeded Wall in the second round of the Shore Conference Coaches’ Cup on Thursday at 3:30pm. St. Rose (1-14-1) will travel to St. John Vianney on Tuesday at 7:00pm.
