Repeated vandalism found at Pheasant Branch Conservancy

MIDDLETON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy is asking for help with an issue the group calls troubling: repeated and intentional vandalism at the conservancy.

The vandalism is happening on the Pheasant Branch Hill trail.

Dane County Parks recently completed the realignment of the trail in order to address persistent erosion, protect sensitive cultural and ecological resources and to ensure the long-term sustainability of the trail system. Part of that work includes closing the old trail segments and turning them back to prairie habitat.

But since then, "these closure efforts have been repeatedly and intentionally vandalized," the Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy said in a Facebook post .

The organization says parks staff members have reinforced the cl
