There aren’t enough doctors and dentists to serve the population of 90,000. Pharmacies and clinics are closing. Cancer and chronic health conditions occur at high concentrations. The Covid-19 pandemic hit hard. And the distance to travel for health care – often for people with no cars – can be measured in miles of walking.
That is what Evergreen Health and its affiliate, Community Access Services, want to address, through their new comprehensive health care facility that they are constructing at the intersection of Kensington and Bailey avenues.
