METAIRIE, La. (Louisiana First) — The highly anticipated Week 7 match-up with the Chicago Bears is here, a game New Orleans Saints fans have circled on their calendar, not because of the history or match-up, but because of former Saints head coach Dennis Allen.

Allen is in his first season as the Bears' defensive coordinator after serving as the head coach and long-time defensive play caller for the black and gold. His tenure in New Orleans was a roller coaster, helping revive the Saints' defense, but he struggled once he took over as head coach in 2022. He was ultimately fired during the 2024 season after New Orleans lost seven straight games.

Emotions for this game are almost certainly going to be high, but don’t call it a revenge game. It's more of a reunion game.
