WISCONSIN (WFRV) - If you hear a loud booming noise tonight or tomorrow night, it's likely a sonic boom from some training flights.

Officials in at least one county in Wisconsin are warning residents that they may hear some incredibly loud noises over the next 24 hours.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office reshared information from the Dane County Regional Airport, which said that the Wisconsin Air National Guard's 115th Fighter Wing is doing nighttime training flights on October 15 and October 16.

According to the statement, these training flights started on October 14 and are essential for pilots to be proficient in spite of poor visibility.

Officials say that these flights can create sonic booms, and some have already been reported to the Sheriff's Office.
