KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City police are reminding drivers the speed limit on a busy Southwest Trafficway is 35 mph.

They pulled over more than 150 drivers on two separate days.

Sixty-three drivers were cited September 25 when speed enforcement efforts began. It's unclear how many tickets they wrote in between, but apparently drivers weren't getting the message. Another 93 drivers were cited Tuesday, October 14.

Police say their targeted enforcement followed a city speed study. The City's High Injury Network shows the intersection at 39th and Southwest Trafficway is in the severe category, ranking among the most dangerous for deadly and serious injuries.
