Two men were arrested Tuesday, Oct. 14, in connection with the shooting death of a 67-year-old man in Garden Grove last month.
Rodolfo Ramirez, 37, of Garden Grove and Gustavo Covarrubias, 51, of Santa Ana were booked in Orange County Jail about three weeks after the fatal shooting of Mario Barrios, Garden Grove police said.
Ramirez was booked on suspicion of murder and Covarrubias is accused of being an accessory after the killing, said Sgt. Nick Jensen, a spokesperson with Garden Grove police.
Officers responded just after 4 p.m. on Sept. 21 to the 12600 block of Westminster Avenue, where they found Barrios in a parking lot with several gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said. He later died at a hospital.
