BELFAST -- It's often said that dogs are man's best friend.
Today in Belfast, a local artist unveiled a sculpture honoring *his* best friend.
Gary Cooper's latest sculpture, "Man's best friend," was on full display today at the Belfast Dog Park after months of work.
According to Cooper, the sculpture was inspired by his late dog Newley, whom he describes as "Extra wonderful."
"I wanted to make a statement with this about how dogs are universally, to me anyway, the greatest- one of the greatest creatures on the planet," Cooper says "So... It was inspiring. I don't know any other way of- to put it other than it was just one of those things when an artist gets so inspired that you're driven to make it happen."
