When you're a dog lover, you probably rarely, if ever, say that you don't like a certain breed of dog. You'll more than likely have dog breeds that you like more than others, but if you're a dog lover, you'll find something to love about all of them.

National Dog Day took place last August 26th, but the occasion was completely overshadowed by a certain celebrity couple announcing their engagement and the ensuing media blitz of all the details.

One day of the year to shine a loving spotlight on the best friend any human could ask for and it gets totally wiped out by a few photos of an attractive couple in a garden and a big, big diamond. There's always next August 26th (National Dog Day falls on the same date each year), I guess.
