CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - For consecutive days, a Canton hospital was locked down due to a bomb threat on Wednesday.
This time, it was Aultman Hospital.
This comes after Tuesday’s threat at the Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital.
Aultman Hospital released the following statement about the threat and lockdown.
Around 8:40 p.m. this evening, a bomb threat at Aultman Hospital came to our attention. We immediately notified the Canton Police Department and worked with them to investigate the threat while ensuring the safety of our patients, visitors and colleagues. The threat has been cleared by Canton Police. The hospital remains open for patient care.
It is not known if the incidents are related.
