A South Australian woman has pleaded guilty to 11 charges after she faked her six-year-old son's cancer diagnosis in a bid to raise more than $11,000.
The 45-year-old woman appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court, via video link from custody, on Thursday where she pleaded guilty to one count of engaging in acts likely to cause harm to her young son and 10 counts of deception.
The woman was previously facing 61 additional charges, including criminal neglect, but they were dropped by the prosecution in satisfaction of her guilty pleas to the remaining charges.
She was also charged alongside her husband, but charges against him were dropped earlier this year .
