TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Upgrades are coming to Sabino Canyon Park this month, including a public restroom and new pavement on Sabino Canyon Park Road.

On Oct. 16, improvements are set to begin at Sabino Canyon Park Road, led by the Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division in collaboration with Pima County and Coronado National Forest.

The project includes a new paved parking lot, a public restroom, and 21 new on-street parking spaces. Additionally, a half-mile of asphalt surface will undergo rehabilitation, and a 5-foot-wide pathway will be installed as part of the Arizona Trail Passage 11E: Pusch Ridge Wilderness Bypass.
