STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Company’s production of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” is set for this weekend and next at The Staten Island Playhouse in St. George.

“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by John Heimbuch and Jon Ferguson is a story based on the narrative by Washington Irving.

Producers ask that the audience step into the shadows of Sleepy Hollow, where superstition lingers in the fog and the sound of ghostly hooves echo in the night.

The movement-driven retelling of Washington Irving’s ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’ blends classic storytelling with dark humor, theatrical invention, and an eerie, gothic sensibility.

Performances are Friday, Oct. 17, Saturday, Oct. 18, Sunday, Oct. 19, and Friday, Oct. 24, Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26.
