GREENVILLE, S.C. —

A state investigation has unearthed more violations committed by former representative R.J. May.

May plead guilty to five charges of distributing child sexually illicit images, prompting house leadership to call for an internal investigation by the state ethics commission.

Pickens County Representative and House Majority Leader Davey Hiott, R-Pickens, called for that investigation and says investigators did find evidence that he may not have paid income tax. However, some members of the Freedom Caucus tell us tonight they're opposing how that investigation was conducted.
